Our assessment

Before we got the LabelJet 300, we walked to the inkjet printer for every single FBA label, cut A4 sheets to size, and taped them on. With several hundred shipments a month, that simply costs too much time.

The thermal printer prints directly onto the label roll, with no consumables other than the paper itself. Amazon, Kaufland, and eBay shipping labels are recognized in the correct format, so no margin is wasted and the barcode scans cleanly on the first try at goods-in.

The one real downside: the label rolls should come from the same manufacturer — cheaper alternatives sometimes don’t sit exactly right on the sensor, and the printer misreads the end of the roll.
